Job Description

HMRC is the UK's tax authority, responsible for funding all of our public services including the NHS, schools, roads, emergency services and more. In order to support this as well as 60,000 employees, we operate one of Europe's largest IT programmes. CDIO (Chief Digital Information Officer) group is the department responsible for developing and running the technical operations. We are recruiting for some Senior Architects to join CDIO as part of the enterprise architecture team. There are opportunities to specialise in business architecture, SAP or data and analytics. As a subject matter expert in one of these areas, you will get involved with the following: Support and contribute to solution designs, defining our architecture strategy and aligning it with other architectural domains Proof of concept exercise for new technologies Lead architecture and business change discussions, including project deployment, product selection and solution design. Some of the following experience will be helpful: Background in data architecture, business architecture or Cloud-based application design & development Business process modelling, translating business strategies into business capabilities, objectives and value chain models Understanding of large-scale application development methodologies Data modelling tools and methodologies SQL and NoSQL environments Data Virtualisation technologies Cloud based data platforms Identity - including Single Sign On, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Role Based Access Control, and Federation technologies. SAP modules such as TRM, FICA or CRM. CRM Platforms, Workflow Management and Contact Centre applications Document and Records Management Open Source Application platforms Low Code / No Code application Development on PaaS Awareness of programming techniques and languages, e.g. SOAP APIs, Restful services, XML, JSON, Java, message routing and queuing technology, Service-Orientated Architecture (SOA) design patterns and experience of large-scale IT legacy migrations HMRC is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity.
