OpenWorks Engineering is a high-tech company based in the North East of England. We are supporting security and defence authorities with their mission to protect against the threats posed by drones - our flagship SkyWall technology is in use around the world. We require enthusiastic individuals capable of ensuring delivery of high-quality products for our international customers. OpenWorks looking for someone who will enjoy working with a wide team to improve how our company operates. We develop complex products that are manufactured in the North East, and then tested and delivered by us. We are ISO9001 certified and understand the value in ensuring the quality of what we make and how we work. As a fast growing company, we are constantly developing how we work, implementing new ideas and practices to advance our performance. The right individual will be someone who has an understanding of the principles of ISO9001 and experience of applying them in practice. They will audit, discuss, suggest and implement improvements throughout the business. They will work with and provide oversight to our supplier base and production partners throughout the North East, providing strategic input into how we manufacture existing and future products. The ideal applicant will: * Be able to develop quality metrics and useful process descriptions. * Demonstrable knowledge of auditing to ISO9001 guidelines. * Experience of engineering drawings, machining and assembly processes. * Posses the ability to provide expert advice and actionable information to the management team. * Represent OpenWorks to our customers and suppliers. * Drive implementation of new process technology across the business.
