Project Manager - SSP Project - Crossrail Day Rate - £(Apply online only) per day Contract Length - Running until June 2020 My client are the development partner for Crossrail and they are currently looking for a Project Manager to work within the Stations, Shafts and Portals team. Purpose of the job: To support the management of programmes that cross multiple sites across the Stations, Shafts & Portals (SSP) sector. Programmes to be delivered in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Define the strategy for the execution of the programmes and work with the relevant element project managers and site teams to deliver the programmes. The first programme to be managed is the replacement of fire control panels. Accountabilities of the role: Promoting Crossrail's Health & Safety Golden Rules and Target Zero. Promoting Crossrail's "right first time" approach to quality. Managing the scope, schedule and cost of the programmes, managing change. Developing and implementing tools to manage and report on the programmes. Integrating site schedules, agreeing priorities and cascading to the sites. Reporting to Crossrail senior management. Reporting to include progress status, critical issues and items for escalation. Coordinating with programme stakeholders, including site teams, Crossrail management, Crossrail Central Engineering Group (CEG), Infrastructure Managers (LU & RfL), suppliers. Sharing best-practices between sites and driving continuous improvement in terms of, health & safety, environment, quality, schedule and cost. Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put Crossrail's information or information systems at risk.Experience and qualifications required: Knowledge of industry, technology and EPC work processes. Knowledge and understanding of working arrangements with joint ventures, alliances and consortiums. Experience with lump sum and reimbursable projects. Knowledge of front-end activities including: Best Practices/Lessons Learned, Constructability, Risk Analysis/Contingency Evaluation, Estimate/Proposal Review Process. Ability to effectively organize and staff a project team in a matrix organization. Knowledge and understanding of standard infrastructure project management tools, techniques and procedures including: project controls, financial management, automation, including standard office tools, records management. Knowledge and experience in baseline development and implementation including: scope definition, roles and responsibilities, estimates and resource loaded schedules, progress and performance curves and metrics, reports and action items tracking. Knowledge and experience in Project Execution Plan development and implementation. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge and experience in contracts/subcontracts formulation, risk analysis, negotiations, and implementation including: change control and documentation management, cost trend program and its linkage to change control. Knowledge of NEC form contracts and the hierarchy of requirements documents in case of conflict (RFP, Proposal, Contract, etc.) Knowledge of project insurance issues/options. Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups. Understanding of Health & Safety requirements for Civil Engineers and Railway construction projects including CDM regulations.If you feel that is the role for you than please apply now.
