Press / Forge / Machine Shop Setter Operator Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm plus overtime - Days only Sheffield £10 - £12 negotiable depending on experience Permanent This is a unique opportunity to join a well established business who has recently boasted record year on year profits. Their 90,000sq ft purpose built manufacturing facility has recently been extended as a result of their recent development and product innovation. Currently employing 500 people across two sites. This company is a customer-focused business with ambitious growth plans. The salary for this role is dependent on experience paying between £10 and £12 negotiable depending on experience plus regular overtime available paid at x1.3 midweek, x1.5 Saturday and x2 on Sunday mornings. A new and therefore exciting position within our clients machine shop. We are open to hearing from any candidates with experience of working on multiple machines within a machine shop / metal forming environment. We would be particularly interested from any candidates with a desire or with previous experience of team leading / supervising. General duties in this role may include; Setting and operating a fly wheel press Setting and operating other metal forming machines Ensuring excellent attention to detail on finished product Use previously gained technical knowledge to maintain and manage machines Act as a local supervisor for this area of up to 5 team workers Ensuring the workload within the area follows the work schedules and dealing with any issues that may affect production as they arise Our client is happy to train the right individual providing you have some of the above experience and a strong foundation to train from.
