Job Title: Asset Operations Manager Location: Home based, ideally located within the South/Central region. UK wide role with travel required where necessary Salary: £50 000 - £75 000/annum + Bonus + Company Car We are recruiting for a Senior Operations manager with a multi-utility (Electricity and Gas)infrastructure background looking for an opportunity to join one of the UK's largest and longest established Independent Gas Transporters (IGT) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNO). Key responsibilities: Electricity and Gas Infrastructure Operations Manager * Lead the Gas and Electricity network Operations Engineers to ensure their competence and efficient deployment. * Responsible for defining, planning, scheduling and resourcing a range of operational activities relating to the function of a team of field-based operations engineers as defined by business needs * Instilling Operational Change and Change Management * Ensure that all company, industry and national requirements are understood by all customers, contractors and service providers and any non-conformities are managed and communicated * Confirm that assets being installed, tested and commissioned are fit for business purpose, complying with Industry/Regulatory and Legislative Standards and requirements, and that all necessary documentation has been received. * Ensuring that service provider Safe Systems of Work are suitable, sufficient and are implemented adequately. * Ensure that monitoring, operational support and guidance is given to the customers so that asset to be adopted are constructed safely, efficiently and cost effectively * Management of supply and service contracts and oversight of any outsourced works * Develop and undertake sufficient and suitable audit processes to comply with the companies SHEQ policy * Collate the information obtained through the companies technical and safety audit/inspections pre and post construction for all assets * Undertake and support technical and HSE investigations e.g. interference damage, network incidents, accidents, incidents, near misses and other issues that may arise, ensuring that all identified actions are closed out * Participate in Safety Technical and Competency (STC) reviews of new and existing UlPs/lCPs, Contractors and other service providers * Manage customer relationships and complaints to satisfactory resolution Experience Required: Multi-Utility (Electricity and Gas) infrastructure Operations Management background. * You will have a strong proven background within an operational position for the utilities/developer sector and will have the ability to work as part of a highly focused team to meet the company's ambitious growth targets. * You will have strong technical and safety knowledge of installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of gas and electricity networks and demonstrate excellent leadership qualities to enable your team to perform to the highest standard. * You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain compelling relationships with customers, consumers and service providers, working on your own initiative and having the motivation to investigate and resolve problems. * Change Management and Leadership experience * Extensive, demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in gas/electricity distribution networks. * Experience of safety and environmental leadership of teams, contractors and service providers. * Knowledge and application of relevant industry standards, regulations, specifications, and legislative requirements * Project management of asset replacement activities * Knowledge of the Asset Management Landscape and its application * Excellent knowledge of ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO55001 * Knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence techniques Qualifications * NVQ L4 in a relevant discipline or higher * SMSTS, NEBOSH certificate desired * NRSWA, SHEA and CSCS cards/certification * SCO desired Please Apply to the role if you have the suitable experience
