Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer - Data Centre - NW London We currently have a new position for a Mechanical Shift Maintenance Engineer with one of London's leading maintenance service providers based at a large modern data centre complex near to Park Royal, North Acton, North West London. It is working for the maintenance service provider to the landlord / owners of the data centre and you would be working alongside the data engineers mainly maintaining the critical plant and infrastructure that delivers the electrical power backup systems, fire and life preservation and cooling and services to the building. There is a large engineering and facilities team on site and you would be a key part of the shift team, providing the Mechanical and HVAC technical expertise covering the plant for the landlord services. The Shift Rota and Shift Hours This is commonly known as the "continental shift pattern" and is very popular with engineers as it gives you two clear weekends in each rotational cycle. Each Shift is 12 hours long. The Mechanical Shift Engineers work with the Electrical Shift Engineers in pairs on this rota; 3 days on, 3 nights on, 4 off, 4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights on, 4 off, then repeat the shift pattern This company thrives on recognising talent and promoting from its own ranks and they are not afraid of putting their hand in their pocket when it comes to training. There is a genuine ability to earn over £50,000 This role comes with all holiday, pension, mobile, PDA etc. with potential earnings in excess of £50,000 There is a lot of overtime and additional shift covers at time and a half, We have calculated that just by covering the holidays of your opposite shift colleague you can guarantee a minimum of £6,500 in overtime for starters, and you know that there will be much more than that on top.
