Job Description

A market leader in cutting-edge user interface technology is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing R&D team. Based near Newark, the company is offering flexible working, annual bonus and pay review, pension, and international travel opportunities. As 95% of the company's products are exported, you will work closely with exciting blue-chip international companies within the defence, aerospace, medical and oil & gas. As a Mechanical Design Engineer will you be responsible for: Development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies. Performing tolerance analysis to ensure the high-quality robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using tools such as FMEA, QFD and computer simulation End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture. Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data. Work with external manufacturing partners, customers and other suppliers.To be successful as a mechanical design engineer you will have: Proven experience as a Design or Mechanical Engineer. Qualified to degree level in either HND, PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product or mechanical design, Product and Innovation. Experience in medical devices, consumer electronics or household/kitchen appliances.
