Job Description

Our client operates at the forefront of machine tool design, build and supply, incorporating world-class engineering brands. Serving a wide range of industries they provide sophisticated bespoke software, technical consulting services, and turnkey packages alongside a remanufacturing facility for specialist machines. The business' story is one of continuous innovation and technological breakthroughs that has seen them win numerous awards for innovation, in fact they are recognised as a world-class manufacturing technology leader. To drive their next phase of growth, they are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and driven Managing Director to lead their established and highly regarded machine tools division, alongside an exciting new and rapidly-growing global business unit. With the latter supplying a market which offers significant expansion potential within specialist sectors, this is a truly unique opportunity. The successful appointee will be a qualified engineer with a commercial and/or operations bias. As a senior leader they will have the expertise needed to lead a respected, growing and profitable manufacturing engineering business unit. In addition, given the significant opportunities new technologies provide, experience of automotive supply chain would be useful, although not essential. Importantly they will demonstrate inspiring and collaborative leadership capability alongside strong relationship and influencing skills. As our client continues to build on their enviable reputation, taking on ever-more challenging and complex projects in competitive, and high-value niche markets. It is important that the appointee shows relentless focus on customer centricity, 'right first time' execution and continuous improvement. Importantly the Managing Director will have the ambition to realise the huge potential of this established business unit and new venture. Indeed, for the right person there could not be a more exciting time to join. Please reply to Vicky Lawton with your CV and current salary details, quoting reference number: VCLT6149.
