Job Description

My client are looking to bring on an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. This company have gone from strength to strength and supply technical ceramics on a global scale across various industries including automotive, medical and environmental. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for maintenance of electrical equipment, PLC's and control systems. In this role your key responsibilities will be; Follow the established maintenance systems and procedures. To recomend, establish and implement effective preventative maintenance procedures for capital equipment where they are not currently in place. To plan, schedule and undertake routine maintenance work as required and instructed. To support productions teams by responding quickly to reports of equipment breakdown or failure end ensuring all repairs are undertaken effectively and with minimal disruption to normal production. To gain comprehensive understanding of the PLC controlled, and other specialist equipment in order to provide full fault disanosis, support and repair. To be successful in this role you will need; Educated to at least a GCSE level. City and Guilds level 3 in Electrical installation or equivalent. City and Guilds and 17th edition in IEE Wiring Regulations. Formal qualification in electrical engineering or relevant work experience. A minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing environment is crucial. Must be a good communicator and be able to work to a high standard in a team based environment
