Global Commodity Manager Based in Poole, UK (International travel 50% of the year) £80,000 - £110,000 + Training + Progression + Pension + Healthcare Package Are you looking for a highly autonomous, challenging, hands on position where you will play a key role in the development of sourcing strategies for a number product groups and the future growth for one of the world's largest companies? Designing, manufacturing and commissioning a range of systems across multiple industries, they are consistently at the forefront of technology and innovation. With increased demand and clear growth plan for the business, they are now looking to recruit a Global Commodity Manager to be based out of their UK location. In this role you will be responsible for working with multiple product groups to understand their needs and expectations and leading global sourcing teams to deliver on these groups at various locations. You will be setting up and running the commodity groups, so you will be involved in the strategy and hands on delivery, along with vetting suppliers, negotiating contracts and cost saving. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity management, with knowledge of both hands on start-ups and strategy. You will come from a heavy industrial background, such as fabrication, oil and gas, power generation, nuclear or similar. The Role: *Based out of Poole with international travel 50% of the year *Working with multiple product groups to understand needs and expectations *Lead a global sourcing team to identify, negotiate, vet and qualify international suppliers *Operationally lead the business to quality and standards in the supply chain The Person: *Commodity management background *Strategic sourcing (both nationally and internationally) *Hands on implementation and delivery of product groups *From a heavy industrial environment *Able to travel internationally 50% of the year
