Job Description

Job Title: Equipment Engineer Responsible to: Equipment Engineering Manager Purpose: To maintain, repair and improve manufacturing equipment Shift based position, 4on/4off, rotating days and nights, shift premium is 38%. Salary up to £35,000 per annum plus shift allowance, depending on experience. Key Responsibility Areas * Take ownership of tool areas for maintenance, breakdowns, troubleshooting etc. * Individually and in a team ensure optimum uptime/minimal downtime for tools in your area. * Initiate and apply equipment performance improvement programme * Liaise with suppliers ensuring best possible support for tool sets. * Define and implement tool maintenance schedules and procedures. * Deliver cost reduction, cycle time reduction and yield improvement. * Provide training for other members of the team. * Be a member of the site emergency response team. * Perform maintenance task risk assessments. * Adhere to all health and safety requirements. * Work shifts on a 4 on 4 off 12 hour rotating shift pattern (days and nights). * Work in a cleanroom environment, adhering to applicable protocols Person Specification Essential Qualifications: HNC/HND in Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or industry equivalent or 10+ years semiconductor maintenance experience Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience * Wafer Fab / Clean Room experience * Experience in supporting and maintaining capital equipment. * Technical leadership and ability to train and mentor others. * Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems. * Understanding of wafer fab processing techniques and equipment. Essential Attributes * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Self-motivation with a positive attitude to work * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Other Experience of working in the following industries/skills - * Medical Devices * Vacuum Systems (food manufacturing) * RAF/Navy experience
