We are recruiting an excellent Design Engineer position to work for a rapidly expanding Manufacturer based in Telford. After a sustained period of growth internationally and a number of exciting projects due to launch, the successful candidate will have mechanical design experience, have managed projects simultaneously & be able to take Design projects from initial concept, right through to creation. Description Ensure efficient processing of design projects and work in progress. Responsible for creating Engineering Change Notifications in accordance with QMS standards. Represent the company in workshops and presentations relating to design/engineering projects. Demonstrate an extensive understanding of design/engineering techniques Creating designs from concept, modeling components & assemblies using Solidworks, and preparing Bills of Materials and Work Instructions to enable the product to be manufactured. Ensure innovative approach to design/engineering projects and ensure a high standard of design is maintained. Using specialist knowledge to establish criteria for requirements, to guide the client with regards to design, presentation and paper specifications, and assisting them in preparation of the final specification. Liaising with suppliers to ensure clients' specifications are met. Delegating duties when appropriate and monitoring individual performance so the team are able to perform to a high level of attainment and satisfaction. Profile Degree qualified- preferably in Mechanical Engineering An understanding of Creo would be an advantage Ability to model parts from scratch Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Desire to want to progress and develop Job Offer £32,000 - £35,000 + benefits
