Job Description

Our client, a forward-thinking medical devices company in Camden, are currently seeking a Design & Validation Engineer to join their team. They already have an existing product line which is innovative and scaling up, but they are also looking to expand their product offering and are keen to bring a talented engineer in to further this goal. Role Responsibilities: Working with the R&D team to design and develop improvements to the products and manufacturing processes through initial concept design, engineering analysis, prototyping, risk assessment and evaluation. Design, develop and prototype new products and manufacturing processes Develop timelines and cost estimates for development tasks and appraise management of performance against plan to maintain compliance to project schedule. Analyse and act on feedback from customers to continually develop and enhance the product offering. Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues to achieve project objectives Be the technical owner of highly complex fully automated processes with the responsibility to ensure that the processes meet the relevant KPIs Ensure all technical documents relating to production equipment are up to date Responsible for creating and owning process PFMEA, Procedures, Training Materials and Risk Assessments Lead focused improvement activities targeted to eliminate waste and improve efficiency Candidate Profile: Minimum Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline Ideally 3+ years of experience in engineering and product development within the Medical Device or related sector Experience in design, validation or process engineering would be highly advantageous Experience working in a lean, customer focused high volume manufacturing business The ability to stay highly organised and communicate clearly Be a curious self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind set Be adaptable and work well in a constantly changing environment Be highly driven and ambitious while working well as part of a team In return, you will have the opportunity work for an exciting start up that is making a tangible impact in its sector.
