Pay Rates Annual Salary £34,867.80 rising to £36,703.08 per annum Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours 45 hours per week on an annualised hour's basis - Sunday to Saturday (Various start times - normally 5 shifts per week) 6-month Fixed Term Annualised Hours Contract with possibility of permanent position Job Description Kettering Distribution Centre are looking for self-motivated and flexible people to undertake driving roles on our day shift to support the business through change. As an LGV Class C+E Driver, you will provide bulk deliveries/collections to other divisions in multi-temperature loads, and play a vital part in ensuring our shops are fully stocked and able to meet customer demand. This role will include weekend working and bank holidays. Reporting to the Transport Team Leaders, you will be an enthusiastic, reliable individual who takes pride in your role as a professional driver. You will hold a Class C+E driving licence as well as a Driver Qualification Card. Ideally you will have experience of multi-site deliveries in the food industry and experience of driving LGV vehicles. Hours of work may be unsociable and shift patterns vary, so flexibility is essential. We do not currently require our drivers to have overnight stays away from home. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for the safe on-time deliveries to our divisional customers, ensuring all requirements are met in respect of food safety and health and safety. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure all pre-departure vehicle checks are made • Ensure safety of products whilst in motion • Drive the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner complying with relevant road tachograph legislation • Deliver load in accordance with specified route and delivery points ensuring accuracy at all times • Maintain Health and Safety standards whilst unloading into units, any returned goods to be documented and returned to the depot • Maintain temperature control of vehicle ensuring safe storage of temperature sensitive products as required by product specification • Work as a team, supporting all colleagues • Key Requirements: • Class C+E Driving license (with a maximum of 6 penalty points) • Hold a Driver Qualification Card and have the appropriate level of CPC training. • Be numerate and literate with the ability to maintain records • Have basic good hygiene and manual handling knowledge • Be self-motivated and flexible with working hours • Have a good attendance, time keeping and disciplinary record • Demonstrate using the Company values Skills • Class C+ E driving licence • Driver CPC • Good interpersonal skills • Previous experience in a similar role • Enthusiasm • Flexible in availability for working hours Benefits • Our Greggs Employee discount Scheme is very generous, offering you up to 50% off our food • Generous benefits, including Profit Share, Staff Discount, 35 days holiday (inclusive of Public Holidays), along with Pension Scheme and Free Life Assurance after qualifying period. • You will receive free life assurance after 1 year's continuous service.
