Job Description

Behaviour Mentor for a Special Provision Education setting. Do you have experience mentoring pupils with extreme challenging behaviour? Would you be interested in growing your pastoral care experience? If you answered yes to the above, then this Behaviour Mentor role is for you! Skills required: Strong behaviour management Excellent communication skills A positive approach to learning Ability to deescalate children in crisis Candidates will have experience of working with children in a challenging environment with a proven track record in this field demonstrating confidence and resilience in a behavioural unit. Role includes, but is not limited to: Support pupils in and out of the classroom, with pastoral and personal development Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class Patrol school working with pupils not in class, for whatever reason Helping students to engage with the set curriculum, both Educational and Vocational Encouraging students to achieve their full potential Providing stability to comfort vulnerable students Essentials: Enhanced DBS Experience of working in this role or similar role A commitment to engaging challenging students, helping them to achieve their full potential A patient and caring nature
